Just like everything in life, people are looking for the easy way out. This is especially true when it comes to weight loss – I am sorry to be the one that tells you, there really are not easy ways to lose weight. In saying that, there are tricks and tips that you can use to lose weight easier.
In my quest to discover easy ways to lose weight, I have come across one re-occuring theme, can you guess what it is? If you answer that: you must reduce your intake of sugar, then you would be right. In fact, people in the West are responsible for eating 23 times more sugar than that of people in the East (places like Asian etc).
It should be no surprise why people in the West are overweight. Here are some common sources of sugar that you might encounter in your diet:
- Added to coffee/tea
- Fruit Juice
- Process foods
- Burgers (added to the bread + patties)
Anything that you buy over the counter, even stuff that tastes savoury (such as bread) is actually very high in sugar. If you avoid foods that are high in sugar, especially the liquid forms, then you would be surprised at how easy it is to lose weight.
The second thing that noticed: the exercise that you do, must not be too intense. This goes against the logic that you are taught on the biggest loser, where you see contestants pushing their bodies to the extreme. The reason that I do not recommend such an approach to weight loss is simple: you will lose motivation faster than you lose weight.
This is why I recommend that you do low intensity exercise, particular exercise that you enjoy doing. For example, if you like to play golf – go and play. If you like to work in your garden, then work in your garden. Anything that is both physical and lower intensity.
With that said, if you are somebody that enjoys pushing their bodies to the limit, then you could always keep doing that. Just remember, it won’t be easy – it is hard work!
The easiest way to lose weight would have to be sleeping, if you are not getting around 8 hours of sleep each night, then you might want to make sure that you do. A lack of sleep causes our bodies a lack of energy, consequently we eat more than we need to, in order to compensate for our bodies being tired. This is not a good thing to do – as you will gain weight fast.
The solution is simple: you need to get around 8 hours of sleep each night – this will help you avoid over eating throughout the day. In fact, sleeping would probably have to be one of the easy ways to lose weight that I love the most.
